Annastasia began her musical training in Calgary, Canada where she went to Mount Royal Conservatory from the age of 7 to learn from the best musicians in the province. She attended the Junior program participating in orchestra, individual lessons and group classes. Her family moved every two years around the world and where ever she went she did as much music as possible. She was the youngest player to join the National Youth Orchestra of Trinidad & Tobago in 1998 and toured with them. She continued her musical adventure in Vienna in the National Youth International Orchestra. She was selected to be in this orchestra for two years. Annastasia later moved to Kuwait where she was involved in many musicals and orchestral concerts. When she finally moved to England she received a music scholarship at Leighton Park school where she completed her A levels. Annastasia had top marks in her Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Music A levels but chose Music in the end. Annastasia studied at RWCMD gaining a BMus(Hons) in 2012. Over these four years, Annastasia learnt under Yu Yasuroka and John Stein’s tutorship. Upon graduating Annastasia took two years out to work full time at St John’s College an independent private school in Cardiff. Annastasia taught violin to the Junior department as part of the wider option classes as well as individual private lessons on both violin and viola. As well as being a violinist Annastasia is a soprano singer who has been a member of the BBC National Chorus of Wales for several years. She is also a keen composer who writes classical and contemporary music. Annastasia is currently based in Southampton where she is available to teach violin, viola, singing and music theory. She is also a freelance musician for both violin and voice. She preforms with many groups throughout the year and loves collaboration with new musicians. Annastasia opened Miss Radford’s School of Music in January 2016. She felt there was a need for young musicians to develop their musical skills not only in their private lessons but also through ensembles and orchestras. Annastasia is a member of the City of Southampton Orchestra and Southern Camerata Orchestra where she regularly leads and co- leads both orchestras.
