Anna is a third year music student at Trinity Hall College, Cambridge, singing with the choir of Jesus College. She currently learns viola with Martin Outram, having left the RCMJD in 2015, where she learnt with Sarah-Jane Bradley.
In terms of orchestral experience, Anna spent four years in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, playing at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Snape Maltings. She participated in the world premieres of works by Anna Meredith, Tansy Davies and Mark-Anthony Turnage. In Cambridge Anna has played in the university Symphony Chamber Orchestras as well as playing in the pit for the university Opera Society. Recently Anna co-led viola sections of the Endellienta Ensemble and Amadeus Orchestra.
Anna is also a keen chamber musician and plays in the Cambridge-based Alois string quartet, having previously played in a string trio formed with fellow NYO musicians. The Alois quartet have played at various functions, including recitals at Clare and Trinity colleges, and were featured on BBC Young Musician.
