Andrew Alan Meurig Davies is a third year Music student, currently studying at the University of Manchester, studying Piano under teacher, Duncan Glenday. Within the past year, Andy has been heavily involved in musical theatre and musical direction. His experience with the University of Manchester Musical Theatre society is vast, having been Musical Director for their production of 'Grand Hotel' as well as Assistant Musical Director for both 'Betty Blue Eyes' and '25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'. He has also recently played Keys 2 in 'The Addams Family' and 'Songs for a New World' and bass in 'Sister Act' as well as Keys 2 in 'Parade' at the Hope Mill Theatre. As a versatile pianist, Andy has performed with numerous singers and instrumentalists as an accompanist and enjoys a variety of genres within his solo repetoire, particularly works from the 19th Century. An experienced orchestral Violinist also, having played for several years with the Cardiff County and the Vale of Glamorgan Youth Orchestra. Andy also sings Lead in the Manchester based barbershop quartet 'Student Unison' who formed in September 2015. Andy is a multi-instrumentalist and has played guitar and bass with many bands in a range of styles as well as several cover bands, he has also worked as a singer-songwriter and acoustic cover artist. His most recent venture in this capacity was to play guitar and bass with the Minneapolis based band 'Harbor and Home' for 6 weeks this summer in their West Coast tour.
