Hi! I'm Andrew and I'm a music student at the University of Edinburgh, originally from Glasgow. I can offer a wide range of repertoire to suit both wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as other functions. Furthermore, I will happily source or arrange specific pieces of music to fit personal requests! Some info about me... I have achieved ABRSM Grade 8 Violin with Distinction and was awarded the 2018 Sir Thomas Beecham Scholarship for Performance by The Reid School of Music at Edinburgh University. I have played 1st Violin in the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland and led the Universities of Scotland Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore, I am Leader and President of the Edinburgh University String Orchestra, and Co-Leader of the Edinburgh University Symphony Orchestra. I regularly perform for local theatre companies, including Captivate Theatre, Edinburgh Studio Opera and Edinburgh University Savoy Opera Group, and have given solo performances at several events and functions around Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Andrew played for my wife and I during our Wedding ceremony and drinks reception at Dundas Castle. He and his Cellist colleague played exceptional throughout and managed the ambiance well. Andrew Taheny player at my sons wedding at Dalhousie castle and he was absolutely superb. Played with perfection for the ceremony and during the champagne & canapés. EVERYONE commented on how wonderful his music was. Massive thank you Andrew
