Andrew Macfarlane

Andrew been playing the bagpipes for a number of years, This interest stems from his Father and many family trips to Edinburgh and seeing and listening to bands. He now currently play in a band and has had the opportunity to perform at home and abroad. He has played at the International indoor Tattoo in Birmingham a number of time. Has also taken part in the annual Market Garden Remembrance event held in Arnhem, Holland where there are many events where the band performs. He has played in the Ystaad tattooo in Sweden and at the Bremen and Berlin Tattoo . The band has also performed a number of times in the Annual Giostra held in Sulmona, Italy where guests from all over Europe are invited to perform. Andrew has also been featured on TV in the National Trust programme narrated by Michael Burke. Andrew wears his family Tartan in the Modern Traditional Red or Ancient Hunting Green version. He can perform in full Number 1 dress with feather bonnet or a more informal but smart Number 2 dress consisting of kilt and Argyll Jacket and waistcoat. Andrew can perform at a variety of events such as Burns nights where he can do the address to the haggis if required. Also Weddings, Birthdays and any other events where the magic of the pipes add a special touch. Finally Funerals and Remembrance events.
