Andrew Davey L.T.C.L Andy is a player and teacher in the Rugby and Coventry area. A Saxophone specialist, he also plays a wide range of instruments including Flute and Clarinet. He has in the past taught various instruments in a number of different schools in the local area including being the specialist saxophone tutor at King Henry VIII school in Coventry. Since 2012 Andy has held the position of Head of Woodwind at Rugby School. Andy also plays in a number of groups locally, including his own Jazz Quintet - Jazz Not Jazz. This group has been performing for the last 10 Years and has a very strong following. He has been a long time member of The Fabulous Beez, a well respected covers band. This 9 piece group has been specialising in Weddings and Corporate events for over 11 years and has become an annual fixture at many events. In addition to these local groups, Andy has a seat in a number of Big Bands, including The State 51 Jazz Orchestra, and The Tongue and Groove Jazz Orchestra. Andy also performs professionally with a number of rat pack influenced function bands including 'Bobby Darin and the Kings of Cool' and 'Jamie Knight and the Manuka band'. Andy is also involved with session studio work on a regular basis and has recently recorded with many different group and in a solo capacity. In addition Andy does pit work for a number of the larger theatres in the area where he is called upon to play all of the woodwind instruments.
