What a fabulous band! They were perfect for our party and all the guests loved them, we couldn't have been more pleased that we hired them. They are also super organised and very friendly and worked around a changing schedule with no problem. We shall definitely be recommending them, and hopefully booking them again in the not too distant future. Keep playing Swing Train 42!!

We booked Swing Train 42 for our wedding after seeing them play a local market. We are so pleased we did; they played straight after dinner which was a great way to break up the evening. Their music is catchy yet laid back, fun to watch, and ideal for getting people in the mood for dancing. The booking process was very smooth, and communication was always fast and responsive. They are a very genuine and nice bunch of people. We would highly recommend Swing Train 42 for events and would certainly book them again.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to meet any updated requirements or different timings - please try to keep me updated on the run up to the event, especially in case of major changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I don't usually provide iPod/DJ services, if a setlist is needed between sets we can discuss it thought and I can provide with suggestions relevant to the music we play.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually we reserve 30 minutes to setup and soundcheck.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

We usually select our set lists based on our experience on what songs create the most appropriate atmosphere for every event. They are the result of years of gigging and hours of planning, so usually we try to avoid any change, however we can certainly discuss any special request and make sure we find the right pieces for the event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes we do! From amplifiers to instruments, unless a bigger PA might be needed which is something we usually ask our clients to provide.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song is not included in our list we can learn it if discussed in advance.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients love my professional attitude to music, as well as my pure joy and happiness that transpire when I play - it's not just a job but my passion and I share it with my audiences!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Different pubs, restaurant in London, as well as many private venues for private functions!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Right now it's all about Django Reinhardt and the masters of swing!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I treat every gig as the most high profile engagement to ensure my clients and audience the best experience!
