Andrea Timpanaro (Catania – Italy, 1991), passionate chamber musician, began his performing activities in 2008. Since then, as soloist, as well as member of numerous Chamber Music ensembles, he has given many concerts both in Italy and abroad. As soloist, he performed with the “Philarmonia Symphony Orchestra Academy" of Chernihiv and with the “Orchester der Fachhochschule Köln” directed by Andreas Winnen. He also performed in New York Carnagie Weill Hall, Spiegelzaal of Amsterdam Concertgebouw (brodcasted by the Dutch Radio 4), Philarmonia Theatre in Chernihiv, Göhliser Schloesschen in Leipzig, Westphalsches Haus in Markkleberg, at the Cologne Fachhochschule, Argenta Community Theater in Little Rock, Palazzo Vecchio in Firenze, Teatro Niccolini in Firenze, Oratorio S. Cecilia in Bologna, Palazzo Biscari in Catania, Teatro Donnafugata in Ragusa and more. Besides his activities as soloist and chamber musician, he has performed as member of numerous orchestras and ensembles such as the Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI), Leipzig HS Orchester, Chamber Orchestra of “Magie Barocche” Festival, Neue Philarmonie München, among others. Andrea studied with Vito Imperato (Catania), Kathrin ten Hagen (Leipzig) and Lorenza Borrani (Fiesole). He also attended prestigious master classes under internationally renowned teachers like Felice Cusano, Rocco Filippini, Sergey Girshenko, Roberto Gonzalez, Kathrin ten Hagen and David Romano. He is currently studying at the Guildhall School of music and drama coached by Ofer Falk and Stephanie Gonley.
