I have played the piano since I showed an interest at the age of three. Playing by ‘ear’I would copy songs I heard on the tv and radio, literally note perfect. Having passed my grade eight piano with Distinction ( 142/150) I applied to The Royal Academy of Music, London and got a scholarship to go and study there when I was 17. I have always had a passion inside me for playing the piano. I always felt very drawn to the piano as a child and I would practice for four to five hours a day. I love the thrill of playing my arrangements of many songs / genres to the general public and more intimately to brides and grooms on their wedding day. I consider it a real honour to be be invited into a wedding as it’s such an intimate event. From the outset I offer a bespoke service, by only playing for one wedding per day and giving the bride and groom full control over what they would like me to play for their wedding ceremony. I am there to advise them and I am only ever an email/ phone call away from the minute I am signed up to play. I have been very fortunate to play the piano in many countries and have even played famous music from India and the Far East which I learned by ear. I play without music and like to create an atmosphere of calm before a wedding ceremony. Many people have commented that my playing really ‘set the scene’ for the arrival of the bride! My highlights so far in my career have been playing the piano for the Qatari Royal Family and also teaching their children the piano, playing for the last governor of Hong Kong ( Sir Christopher Patton) playing in front of many celebrities and actors including, Ian Holm, Katherine Hammett, Sir Simon Rattle, Freddie Flintoff, Michael Vaughan, Wayne Rooney and also teaching their children piano. I have played in Covent Garden, Durham Cathedral and York Minister. My testimonials have always been five/ five stars and I have been compared with Elton John with a testimonial to prove it. I am very easy going and am happy to give advice when asked to and my attention to detail is impeccable. I play from my heart and that is essential when playing for a couple’s wedding.
