About Anastasia

Orchestral and session violinist, with years of experience of performance and recording
Violinist
London
Public liability insurance of £10 million

A violinist born and raised in St Petersburg, Anastasia has background in many environments of work and performance within the musical field. She moved to the UK when she was a teenager, and her current training ranges from the St Petersburg Conservatoire, to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, to the Kent Academy of Music. A graduate with a high scoring BMus and MMus in classical violin performance, she has acquired much experience of performance and creative work. Her current work includes performing and recording in styles of classical, contemporary, rock, jazz, indie, pop and folk, etc. Anastasia is no stranger to taking part in contemporary music art installations, improvisatory indie recording sessions and symphony orchestral concerts in halls such as the Barbican or the Royal Festival Hall. Currently her main focus within the field of classical music lies in the development of her piano trio, the Elvira Trio, and development of contemporary compositions. Anastasia holds a place in the Guildhall Session Orchestra, within which she regularly records film music and new creations. Recently taking part in a recording of Avatar - Live in Concert. As well as using her extensive classical training for performance on the violin, Anastasia is also a talented singer, with experience of writing and producing her own music with both violin and voice. She has collaborated on writing projects with many talented musicians and composers, such as Gabriela Eva, Jasper Trim, Mike Trim, Mathis Saunier, Tom Toomey and Abel MGE. Anastasia has also recently become a part of the Franko-Swiss rock band Mauvais Sang, singing, and performing on the violin in concerts and festivals in Chamonix, Paris and Lyon, France. They have recently released an EP 'La Flore' and have plans to tour in the UK in 2025. Aside performance and writing, Anastasia's talent of teaching and open minded approach to creativity has led her to develop an effective way of inspiring her many regular students; even holding international teaching success with her online students from outside the UK. She encourages work, practice and discipline, while supporting students towards feeling confident and comfortable with their abilities. The goal is to find freedom to develop within any challenge, taking mistakes as a way of moving forward. Anastasia is constantly developing her colourful portfolio as a performer, composer and teacher both in the UK and internationally. She is currently performing on a French violin c1900, generously lent to her by Benslow Music.
