We're a Brighton-based gypsy swing band with a 1920s-1940s Parisienne Hot Club sound. We’re available to play at venues, weddings, celebrations, and other special events around the UK and internationally. Expect a recreation of the heady atmosphere of Django Reinhardt's Paris, with lightning-fast guitar riffs, pulse-racing rhythms, and soaring Ella Fitzgerald-inspired vocals. Supersize the band by adding extra instrumentalists - popular choices include violin, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and snare drum.

Amuse Manouche were simply brilliant. They played at the weekend at my birthday event and were perfect, all my friends commented on how fantastic they were, and how great the ambience was. Their musicianship is excellent (we had a trio: Sam the vocalist, with a lovely voice, and guitar and double bass) with a great range of songs- I had asked for a mix of gypsy and jazz numbers. They were also great to deal with. My only regret is that they were 'background' music, as I wish I could l have spent the whole evening just listening to them!

Amuse Manouche played in the garden for our Brighton event. They created a great atmosphere for everyone that attended and we got a lot of positive feedback on the day. They sounded great and had a nice mix of music.

We had Amuse Manouche performing during an informal but very important dinner with prestigious guests. All the members are very talented as well as extremely kind and friendly. They tried their best in especially difficult circumstances [Background: This event was planned to follow Goodwood Festival, which was unfortunately cancelled due to adverse weather conditions], for sure their participation, patience and incredible great mood really made the difference in our event.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes! Our most popular line-ups are the trio (2 x guitarist 1 x vocalist) and the quartet (1 x double bassist, 2 x guitarist, 1 x vocalist) but depending on budget optional add-ons include clarinet, violin, accordion, and saxophone.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we can provide an iPod service before and between sets for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

Our trio and quartet bands take very little time to set up. We can set up in 5-10 mins although we usually arrive 30-45 mins before the performance.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA system is included in your quote. The quartet can comfortably fit in a 2x2m space, maybe even less. Just let us know if space is a factor and we'll see what we can do.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you for an extra fee.
