Alistair has a wide range of experience of conducting Orchestras, Wind Bands, Big Bands and Brass Bands from youth to professional levels. He has experience of conducting a wide range of styles from classical to crossover, romantic to film music. As a trombonist he studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and the Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen, before embarking on a career playing with various ensembles and orchestras. He has held positions including principal trombone of the Royal Regiment of Scotland Band.
