Cellist studying at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Alice picked up a cello at the age of 4, after encouragement from her sister, a violinist. She studied with Gerry Howard from the age of 4-14 before gaining a place at the Junior Royal Academy of Music, where she studied under Tony Woollard from 2011-2015. She started her undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music in September 2015, studying under Gillian Thoday. She has extensive orchestral experience; she played with Dulwich Youth Orchestra from 2005-2012, playing her first major concerto (the Elgar Cello Concerto) with them in July 2012. She was a part of the National Children's Orchestra from 2009-2010, performing in major concert halls across the country such as Symphony Hall, Birmingham, The Anvil, Basingstoke and the Barbican. She also performed with Tempest Symphony Orchestra, a student run orchestra based in London, in December 2015. In April 2016, she performed with the RNCM Symphony Orchestra playing Shostakovich's 5th Symphony which was an unforgettable experience. Another of her passions is chamber music, which blossomed when she gained a place on Pro Corda, which she did from 2011-2013. She is also part of the Lux Quartet, formed in November 2015 with other RNCM students.
