Alice read music at St Catherine's College, Oxford before taking up a place on the postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music studying Orchestral Percussion & Timpani, supported by an Ernest Hecht Award. She is now building a career out of theatre work, orchestral playing and teaching. Alice freelances across London in concert halls, theatres and recording studios and has guested with the London-based percussion quartet, Beaten Track. Recent work has included 'The Life' at the Southwark Playhouse, recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios and a session with the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop. She spent six weeks last summer in Sicily as Principal Timpani for the Mediterranean Opera Festival and toured Denmark at Christmas with a production of 'The Nutcracker'. She is currently depping on Cameron Mackintosh's UK & Ireland tour of Miss Saigon. She has taught classroom music in primary schools for the Da Capo Music Foundation and currently teaches piano and percussion at their Saturday centre and at Wren Academy, as well as percussion, drums and piano privately from her studio.
