Alex Robertson is a singer and songwriter from north Cornwall. His music is influenced by the people in his life and places he has been, and Alex’s songs come from the heart. His spontaneous songwriting style has resulted in a diverse range of acoustic melodies accompanied by honest and personal lyrics. Alex has performed at festivals such as Rock Oyster, The Little Orchard, The Great Estate, & has performed at various events around Cornwall such as Paul Ainsworths Travelling Feast & The Eden Project on more than one occasion. Alex first picked up a guitar at the age of 14, and his style has been evolving ever since. A lover of many genres, he lets his creativity run free when writing, practicing and performing. Alex’s aim is to connect with his audience on a deep and personal level. His recent debut single, ‘Cast Aside’, captures an introspective mood whilst also showcasing a playful joyfulness. Fans of Damien Rice, Newton Faulkner, Ben Howard & Eddie Vedder are sure to love Alex’s music.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our Clients highly commend us on having a very unique and original sound. We are recognised for our musicianship and connection with each other when we perform. We are all great friends and have a long history playing music together in various forms.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at regular venues like Bruno's at Trevone Bay, The B-Bar Plymouth, The Eden Project and various festivals around the South West.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We have been most influences by the likes of Hozier, Ben Harper, Eddie Vedder & Pearl Jam, John Butler and Ben Howard.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The most high profile gigs we have performed would be for a large private audience as a part of Paul Ainsworths Travelling Feast, aswel as The Queens Platinum Jubilee & The Kings Coronation at The Eden Project.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, I can perform as a Solo artist if required (guitar, vocals) or as a Duo with either my Acoustic Bass Player, or my percussionist using a Djembe. Or as a Third option we can also come as a Trio.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That's okay, we can work with you to suit time frames and remain flexible within an hour or two of the original booking time. We would expect to be given at least 48 hours notice of any time changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we can provide recorded music played through a full PA with monitors to give a wide and full sound for all size parties.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will need approximately 1 hour to set up and soundcheck. As soon as we have all equipment ready to go we are happy to play a requested playlist of your choice through the PA to entertain guests before our performance.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, we cannot roam around as we prefer to perform seated and we use guitar pedals and cannot rig our setup to be wireless.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely. We have our usual cover songs and originals, however we are happy to accommodate requests if we are given adequate time to learn the songs requested.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, all equipment is included in our performance quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, we can. We would need adequate time & notice of requests to learn the songs and may refuse some if they're not suited to our style, but we will always do our best to accommodate requests for special occasions. Please allow at least a weeks notice for any special requests for your event.
