Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

I can perform with singers and other instrumentalists - please just ask and I'll be happy to help! Duos, trios and quartet available for both acoustic and electric performances.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible with timings and always offer a 30-minute grace period on the day in case your timings are delayed. If the event timings drastically change, please let me know ASAP as it may affect my availability.

How much time do you need to set up?

If performing by myself, I need roughly 45 minutes to comfortably setup and soundcheck.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I usually judge the atmosphere at most events for the type of material to play, taking into consideration any preference in genre (Classical / Pop / Film) Similarly, whilst I'm not able to take entirely personalised setlists, if there is a piece of music you are desperate to hear, please get in touch and I will try my best to accommodate you.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring all PA and audio equipment.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a particular song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you for a small fee - let me know and I will be happy to accommodate this.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My performance is always a unique and interesting mix of classical-crossover repertoire, or pop repertoire that has been specifically arranged for Cello - I use bespoke backing tracks that have been tailored to my performance and take care in selecting tracks that I feel suit moods, occasions and provide the right atmosphere for any event.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Royal Albert Hall Royal Festival Hall Abbey Road Studios Air Studios The O2 Arena Wembley Stadium Wembley Arena RAK Studios London Palladium The Barbican

Little Mix - Apple Music Live in London (Ruby Music) Paolo Nutini - Zermatt Unplugged Festival Mumford & Sons - O2 Tour Date 2018 (Ruby Music) Liam Gallagher - BBC Later... With Jools Holland (Urban Soul Orchestra)

A very experienced session, event and wedding performer, we would highly recommend Alex for any kind of booking. Alex performed as a solo Cellist at our client's drinks reception - it was a perfectly balanced mix of pop and classical repertoire, which created a chic and relaxed atmosphere.

London G, 6 months ago

Alex has been performing with London String Group since the company launched in 2016, she is a supremely talented cellist and musician, fantastic to work with and consequently one of our go-to cellists. Alex brings an amazing energy to her performances, and is incredibly versatile. Whether it’s to join an Artist’s 20 piece live band at a stadium performance to audiences in their 10,000’s or a solo session at Abbey Road Studios, we can rely on Alex to always bring the best. She’s great fun to work with and her sparkling personality shines through in her playing.
