Alejandro Wu Tan started playing the piano at the age of four at a music school in his hometown, Madrid (Spain). In 2006, he continued his music studies in the Conservatory of Majadahonda, also in Madrid, under the tuition of Antonio León-Robuster. He later spent four years in the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, studying with Ana Guijarro and Anselmo de la Campa. He is currently doing a Master’s Degree in Music Performance at the University of Leeds.
Alejandro has also received lessons from Peter Bithell, Arpad Bodò, Nino Kereselidze, Tilman Krämer, Kenedy Moretti, Yuri Ananiev and Christian Pöhl. He has received awards in various piano competitions such as Hazen Piano Competition, Jacinto Guerrero Piano Competition and Música en el Río del Oro Piano Competition.
Outside music performance, Alejandro is also interested in music teaching. He finished a Master’s Degree in Music Education at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2015 and has been working as a piano teacher in different music schools.
