BAND HISTORY (by Alan Leak) Well, the formation of NO WAY BACK, as it currently stands, is a long story - so I'll try to keep it short..... Back in early 2014 I was a 'struggling' rhythm guitarist in need of a band. I had briefly been involved with a few start ups but, for all the usual reasons, they eventually fell apart. On the verge of taking up a more sensible pastime (knitting or crochet perhaps), I decided to make a desperate call to a lead guitarist I had once turned down at an audition (oops!). Gary was gracious enough to join the band (me!), and so we were now a 2 guitar 'band.' After a few months we were fortunate enough to find John, and quickly persuaded him to become our bass guitarist. Our optimism was now riding high, and we naively thought that finding a suitable drummer would be just childs's play. Well, it turned into a nightmare of epic proportions, and we despaired of ever finding our 'sticks' man.... Anyway, as luck would have it, I eventually received a call from Garry who I knew from yet another short lived band. He was very keen to join us and so we were now the 'Fab Four!!' All we needed now was a rocking vocalist to complete the line up. We were lucky yet again and Steve joined us sometime around May 2015. After a year or so of endless calls, texts, emails and many auditions we were finally complete.... We are NO WAY BACK and we play classic rock, rock and blues, and almost anything else thats goes down well at a gig..!!
