Alan Drever-Smith is a freelance musician living in Hull.
Recently graduated First Class with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Hull, Alan has an extensive repertoire of experience in a variety of musical roles, principally as a jazz drummer and orchestral percussionist, but also as a latin/world percussionist, conductor/director and transcriber. He has a particular interest in pursuing theatre pit band work and musical transcription.

Principal percussion in University Brass Band, Wind Band, Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and other small ensembles, including Choirs and Early Music Group.
Percussion in Hull Bach Choir, Yorkshire Imperials Brass Band, Sinfonia UK, Hull Philharmonic, Sheffield Rep Orchestra, New South Yorkshire Concert Orchestra, Shepherds Group Brass Band, Unite The Union Band, EYMS Band, Slaithewaite Philharmonic Orchestra.
Theatre pit band engagements have included:
Grease the Musical, The Wiz, James and the Giant Peach, Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Patience”, "Iolanthe" and "Pirates of Penzance", The Coronation of Poppea, The Light In The Piazza, Hry O Marii (Hull University), Jekyll & Hyde, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Café Nation (Mountview Academy of Performing Arts), West Side Story, Sweeney Todd, Seussical!, Les Miserables, Billy Elliot.
