Adrián has played at our Spanish Tapas bar for almost 10 years and a more talented musician would be hard to find. Our customers constantly remark on how good he is, and I believe he is among the finest Spanish & Flamenco guitarists performing in the UK today. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking the authentic sound of Spain! Felipe José Izquierdo

Our venue worked with Adrian on several occasions. We were hosting a Wednesday Spanish guitar night. Adrian was playing by the bar, creating great atmosphere in the restaurant. Adrian very intuitive and caught customers attention. Understood the vibe of the night and plaid accordingly. It was a great pleasure to work with him and hope to do so again in the future. I can not recommend Adrian enough.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My skill with the instrument, my authentic sound and how I can be unobtrusive and enthralling at the same time. Just the right vibe to enjoy a Spanish infused dinner or afternoon "café con leche"

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Green Note, Jamboree, Salisbury Playhouse, Battersea Spanish, Komedia Brighton, Peggy's Skylight, Ronnie Scott's, Jam in a Jar, Peña Flamenca de Londres, Salvador & Amanda, The Post Bar, Pavilions Teignmouth, MOMA Machynlleth Tabernacle, SubZero, Kino Theatr, Amantia Nights, Hispania, Clapham Chamber Concerts, Feria de Londres, BBC radio 3...

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Paco de Lucía, Sabicas, Camarón de la Isla, Morente, Morao, Parrilla, Juan Moneo el Torta, Diego del Gastor, Niño Josele, Chicuelo, Chano Domingez, Pata Negra, Ojos de Brujo, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Héctor Lavoe, Peret, Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ravi Shankar, John Mclaughing, Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhardt, Serrat, Silvio Rodriguez, Ketama, King Crimson...

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have played for heads of state and of government.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be flexible to help ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible. I understand things can change in the last minute for either part, so I will make sure to keep the communication with the client to re-arrange any detail.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I have a couple of Spotify playlists, ad-free, that I can play from my device, through my system or the available one. As soon as the set up is done and for as long as we arrange beforehand. Extended time should be arranged beforehand if possible.

How much time do you need to set up?

I like to be swift and unobtrusive when setting up. 15-20 minutes is usually more than enough for me, as long as I have my performing area designated and prepared, armrest-less chair/stool and power outlets. Showing up to 1 hour before the show is the usual to be relaxed, warm up a bit, grab a drink, meet the host...

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I'd say I know what am doing to drive the vibe along the sets, but I don't see why not.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I have all I need to play background music for a small (50 people) party. I only need a chair and two power outlets nearby. I like to discuss beforehand any requirements and what the client/venue can provide in this regard.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

We can talk about it, but I prefer making no promises in this regard. If I did, this will certainly increase my fee.
