Who we are….
A & M Music is a new venture launched in 2017 by Mark Hunter and Andrea Addyman. Our aim is to provide or facilitate a wide range of musical opportunities and services at an affordable price; either by drawing on our own skills and experience, or by utilising our extensive network of musical contacts in the local area.
Mark Hunter is a pianist, organist, singer and composer who is currently Director of Music at St John the Baptist Church in Knaresborough. Following his retirement from the civil service, Mark completed training on music in healthcare settings with Opus and subsequently worked for the York based charity Lollipop, which organises activities for deaf children and their families. Mark’s musical taste and experience spans a wide variety of genres and eras and he has directed or performed with numerous ensembles over the year, encompassing everything from Mozart to the songs of Queen, as well as composing music used in the 2014 film ‘Get Santa’ starring Jim Broadbent. Mark is a firm believer in making musical opportunities available and accessible to all.
Andrea Addyman is a singer, clarinettist and flautist who has performed regularly with several local musical societies and choirs, including Knaresborough Musical Society, St John’s Choir and Cadenza. Andrea’s first love is musical theatre, but she is equally adept at performing classical music and popular songs and has extensive experience as a soloist.
What we do….
Whatever your musical requirements are we can probably help, either by supplying it ourselves or bringing in the relevant expertise from elsewhere. Each musical experience is tailored to the specific needs of the client, so that we deliver exactly what you want at the best possible price. Sing-along Sessions
We can run a sing-along session for groups of any age using our extensive library of music and bringing our own keyboard if necessary. These sessions can also include some performances by members of our team if desired.
Recitals and Concerts
We can provide vocal and/or instrumental recitals or concerts of varying duration featuring a wide variety of music, performed by small groups of musicians, choirs or even a small orchestra. Carols at Christmas are a perenniel favourite – so book early!
Music for Special Occasions
Enhance that special occasion with some live music. Our small group of instrumental players and singers have performed at various functions and weddings, including music for the church service if desired.
