As a graduate of Nottingham University he is now making his way in Leeds as a performer, composer and teacher. Jon has performed extensively on the continent, recently with the London Electricity Big Band, and also in the jazz scene in Berlin. GEOFF CHALMERS - who is a valued member of 3jazz is a professional electric and double bassist who specialises in jazz music. Based in the UK, Geoff has performed on numerous gigs, shows, cruise ships, tours and recording sessions. He has a degree in jazz bass, as well as a postgraduate diploma in classical music. In addition to being a busy freelance bassist Geoff is also an experienced educator teaching bass at schools, colleges and universities, as well as private students.s. BRIAN MELVILLE has been a musician and teacher for many years and has performed in a variety of venues in the UK and Europe and brings all this experience to 3jazz. His first love is jazz music and his favourite bands include Chick Corea Electrik Band, The Yellowjackets, Dave Weckl Band and Dave Brubeck Quartet.
