The overall lo-fi sound of Jacks songs is a strong reflection of his influences. There is a sense of humour and playfulness in Jacks lyrics and instrumentals which is certainly influenced by the McCartney tracks. Jacks use of chaotic melodies and multiple layered rhythmic patterns is very similar to those found in the Paul McCartney song 'Special Friends'. The most notable similarity is between Jacks song 'You Have It All' and 'Tailwhip' by Men I trust. A tight 4 to the floor drum beat and funky bassline can be heard in both of these songs. Jacks use of abstract time signatures and instrumentation (notably the organ) creates a psychedelic feel in the song 'Lazy Lady' which definitely mirrors that of the Tame Impala songs.

There is a beautifully consistent charm to these indie rock inspired, lo-fi bedroom pop tunes that I feel is synonymous with Jacks music. The winding guitar and bass melodies, high pitched vocal melodies and relatively busy drum patterns are noticeably reoccurring features to name a few.
