Webinar: How to get the most from Personalised Music Messages

blank

Yesterday, we hosted a webinar on Zoom, with around 50 musicians from across the UK. Watch it back below (includes an interview with a musician who’s received over 50 video bookings already)!

Our Sales Executive Chiara presents a webinar explaining how to use PMM. Plus we interview Thom, a musician who’s already received over 50 music message requests.

We had a great time answering questions and chatting with over 50 Encore musicians who joined us for our first ever webinar on Zoom yesterday!

If you were there – thank you for coming! If not, don’t worry we’ve recorded it so you can catch up – simply click here to watch.

We now have a few musicians who’ve earnt around £1000 from making videos, so we really want to help you get to this level!

To understand exactly how to be successful with video messages, we recommend watching the whole webinar, but you can also skip to each section using these links.

FAQs

– Where do I find my unique video booking link?
This is the link customers use to book videos from you. Simply add ‘/gift’ to the end of your profile URL to create it. Or you can find it in your Personalised Music Messages dashboard here.

– I don’t sing, are music messages relevant to me?
Yes! We’ve had pianists, cellists and violinists get booked already. If people enjoy listening to your music then there’s a good chance they’ll like watching a personalised video of you performing!

– Can you perform with backing tracks?
Yes – quite a few musicians are already receiving requests for music messages where they use a backing track to provide accompaniment.

– Can I set my own price?
We’re working as quickly as we can to add flexible pricing in the near future. Until then it is only possible for you to have one price listed. By default this is £15 (£10 takehome, £2.50 Encore payment processing fee, £2.50 to NHS), the figure which most customers chose when we asked them what they’d pay for the service. But we can adjust your price manually if you’d prefer – just respond to this email.

– I feel a bit uncomfortable marketing my video service to people. Is this necessary?
All musicians who’ve received the most video bookings have used some form of marketing to let people know about their new offering. A simple way to get started is to upload example videos to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (read our sample posts here). But the most successful musicians have used bespoke, personalised messages sent over WhatsApp to let people know about the service. Your marketing messages should always come across as polite and natural extensions of a conversation, rather than a sales pitch.

Also, remember the service you’re marketing is one which brings joy to people in isolation and is supporting the NHS. The response we’ve had from customers is that they love the concept, so many of them will be glad to hear from you about it.

– Have Encore been marketing the service?
Yes! We’ve been focusing on getting the attention of the press and have recently received mentions in Techcrunch, Forbes, BBC Radio Scotland, and The Times. Our tech resource is very limited at the moment, so unfortunately the landing page we’ve built for customers doesn’t have space to market all musicians with PMM enabled yet. But we hope to be building this out soon. In the meantime, we recommend following the advice above to market your videos to your fans and friends directly.

We received loads of positive feedback in response to our first webinar, so we aim to do another soon. If there’s a particular aspect of Personalised Music Messages you’re still not sure about, please let us know at [email protected] and we’ll aim to include it in our next session.
