VerifiedThe Arianne String Quartet played at our wedding ceremony and reception at the beginning of October, and I have nothing but praise to give them. From booking we had nothing but professionalism from Alexander throughout our communication, we asked for three songs to be played during our ceremony and they did a fantastic job of every single one. They kept our guests entertained throughout the drinks reception playing an assortments of pieces, and were an absolutely perfect addition to our day. I would highly recommend booking them!

VerifiedIF YOU ARE GHIBLI FANS, YOU NEED TO GET THESE GUYS! I hired a trio for my wedding and could not have asked for better ceremony music ! My requests were all Ghibli pieces (Howl's moving castle, Spirited away etc) since my now husband and I are both Ghibli fans. The music Sion, Sam & Miranda played as I walked down the aisle could not have been more perfect, and it really made the moment truly magical! Quite a few of the guests were also Ghibli fans and they gave a lot of compliments about the lovely performances x

VerifiedThe duo were fantastic. Multiple wedding guests commented on the fact they enjoyed the range of songs in their repertoire. We opted for modern tunes instead of pieces from their classical selection. However I would be confident that their classical pieces will be as good as the modern.

Walking out to the theme from Star Wars at our wedding still remains my favourite part of the day. They also got my husband to join them for a violin piece which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend booking then for weddings or celebrations!

VerifiedIt was my husband’s idea to have a violinist play at our wedding – we both love music in general, but the simplicity and beauty of instrumental music for our wedding was something he really wanted, so I began exploring options when I came across the amazing ZHL Strings. We hadn’t thought about a string quartet, but after watching just one video of one of their performances we were hooked! We proceeded to watch many more and I was blown away reading through their positive reviews. This is a group that is highly professional and talented, but they are also full of energy, upbeat and have great fun with what they do, which very clearly translates to fun for everyone lucky enough to see them live. To be this talented as a group, but not take yourself too seriously is incredibly humbling and admirable. We were SO grateful to find they had availability for our day. I mainly coordinated with Jim, who was nothing but accommodating and flexible all throughout and in the lead up to our wedding day. We didn’t want to dilute or in any way take away from what they can do by being too prescriptive, but we did ask for three songs at the ceremony. ZHL Strings were familiar with two of the songs we’d asked for and learned the third song just for our day – it was truly amazing and helped make the ceremony personal. On the day, they were on time and collaborated extremely well with our celebrant and coordinator. Everyone who came into contact with any member of ZHL Strings had nothing but positive things to say. Our guests were blown away at our champagne reception – we had so many comments about how incredible the music was. The highlight of my day was when they played the Pirates of the Caribbean theme tune – this light-heartedness and playfulness really made the entire event stand out, and is so aligned with how my husband and I are as people. I cannot recommend ZHL Strings enough, and I absolutely think it is a no brainer to book them (if you can) for your event. I know I won’t go anywhere else in the future!

The team are incredibly talented, so helpful and quick to respond to any questions, and really made the ceremony so special (even when we thought we might have to move it inside because of the rain)!
