FAQs
How much does it cost?
It's free! You have access to everything Encore offers free of charge. We only ever take a fee when you receive a booking. This is 20% of your total performance fee. Unlike some agencies, we don’t hide this amount - so you can always see the commission split when you quote.
How do fees work?
You set your own fees. They'll need to be above our minimum rates to unsure you don't undercut other musicians. A typical take home fee per musicians is £250-£275. We publically track the average amount our musicians get paid in the Accountability section of our Values page.
How do I join?
You can create your profile by entering your email above and clicking “Join now”. Or call our musician recruitment specialist Giulio on +44 (0) 7458 073319 and he’ll be happy to help.
Can anyone join?
Yes! Anyone can create an account - but to be able to publish your profile live and respond to customers you'll need to have professionally produced promo videos (which will be vetted for quality by a member of our team). The competition is high, so Encore is best suited to musicians who are already gigging on a professional or semi-professional basis.
Who started Encore?
Encore was started by cellist James McAulay and pianist James King, two Cambridge computer science graduates who wanted to help their musician friends earn a living from their art. Though Encore has since grown to become one of the UK's largest providers of live music for events, we’ve kept that same dedication to working musicians - everyone in our bookings and support teams is a musician themselves.
Where are you based?
Our small but mighty remote team is based in London, UK 🇬🇧
