Singing guitarist

Romeoville

Denny B is a seasoned Chicago-area singer and guitarist who brings the energy of a full-band show to a solo performance. With a powerful, versatile voice, acoustic guitar, harmonica, and a huge catalog of familiar songs, Denny creates the kind of live music experience that gets guests singing along, making requests, and staying for one more song. His repertoire covers decades of classic rock, country, Americana, pop, and crowd favorites, with music from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, Chris Stapleton, Johnny Cash, Zac Brown Band, Van Morrison, Pearl Jam, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and many more. Rather than performing the same set at every event, Denny reads the room and adjusts the music to fit the audience—whether that means laid-back acoustic music during cocktails or upbeat sing-alongs that turn a party into a party. A lifelong musician and experienced live performer, Denny has performed at bars, restaurants, festivals, private parties, corporate events, weddings, and other special occasions throughout the Chicago area. One of his career highlights was being selected to perform a two-hour pre-show at Chicago’s United Center before Eric Clapton's September 2026 concert. Professionalism is just as important to Denny as the music. He arrives prepared, provides professional-quality sound equipment when needed, communicates clearly with clients, and works to make every event easy and stress-free from booking through the final song. What Denny enjoys most about performing is connecting with an audience. He isn't there simply to play songs in the background—he wants guests to recognize the music, sing along, have fun, and leave remembering the experience. Whether you're planning a private party, corporate event, wedding celebration, patio gathering, or a night of live music, Denny B can tailor the performance to your crowd and your event. Great songs, a great voice, and a live show built around your guests.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we had Denny B. attend our yearly summer bash with over 800 people. He set up on time & was a great addition to the event, so we brought him back for another year. Would highly recommend Denny.

We hired Denny for a 40th birthday backyard luau and he was incredible! All of our guests were raving about his talent. We sent him a few of our playlists to give him an idea of the music that we like and he absolutely nailed it. Our party would not have been the same without the amazing vibes he helped create. Thank you Denny!!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I understand that event schedules can change. I’ll always do my best to accommodate reasonable timing adjustments. Just let me know as early as possible, particularly if the change affects arrival, setup or the agreed performance time.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. I can provide appropriate recorded music through my sound system before the performance and during breaks. If you have a particular style or playlist in mind, just let me know in advance. Full karaoke service is also available for select events.

How much time do you need to set up?

I generally allow about 60 minutes before the scheduled performance for load-in, setup and a sound check. For larger or more involved events, I may arrive earlier to make sure everything is ready well before your guests need me.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes. If there's a special song you'd like that isn't already in my repertoire, I can often learn it with sufficient advance notice. New songs are subject to suitability for solo performance and can be added to your booking as a Special Song Request.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I bring a professional PA system, microphones, instruments and all the equipment needed for a typical performance. I handle setup and sound check as well, so everything is ready to go before your event begins.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Absolutely. I have an extensive song catalog and welcome requests from it. If your special song isn't already in my repertoire, I can often learn it with sufficient advance notice. New songs are subject to suitability for solo acoustic performance and may involve an additional fee.
