Exactly ten years ago, on the 18th of September 2014, the very first musician registered their account on a brand new website called tryencore.com.
We set out on a mission to make the music industry better for musicians;
Since 2014, we’ve grown to become one of the biggest booking platforms for live musicians not only in the UK, but in the world.
We’ve completed over 52,000 bookings and helped you, our musicians, earn over £25,000,000 by performing at the biggest moments of our customers’ lives.
That’s over 20,000 weddings (ceremonies, receptions and parties), over 10,000 private parties, and thousands of corporate events, bar gigs, TV shows, awards ceremonies, proposals, stadium tours and concerts with world-famous artists, and everything in between.
As we celebrate our 10th birthday, I’m excited to announce that we are joining forces with Mixcloud, the global platform for DJs, radio communities and music producers.

Founded 15 years ago, Mixcloud is home to 25 million monthly active users and one million live streams, and has created an environment where all music genres, scenes and movements can thrive. The platform is built on the belief artists should get paid fairly for the music they produce and share, while promoting human-to-human connections in a world of algorithms. Creators, curators and tastemakers can play music legally and safely, while building meaningful connections in the process.
Closely aligned with Encore’s mission to support musicians at every step of their journey, the acquisition brings the companies together in a united effort to further serve the creator community.

The ownership of Encore is changing, but the team behind the scenes will remain the same, and Encore will continue to operate as an independent platform.
I, James (the CEO and Founder) will continue to lead Encore, and I’m excited to be supported by the leadership team at Mixcloud as we move into our second decade.
We’ve got exciting plans on the horizon, and I’m looking forward to spending more of my own time on product development, speaking to lots of you about how we can make Encore better for you, and launching new tools to save you time and streamline your performing careers.
We’ll continue to provide all types of musicians for all types of events, all over the UK, and we hope to grow enquiries in all categories. In particular, we intend to spend a lot of time next year with the Mixcloud team focused on the DJ market, helping more DJs get more bookings.
Thank you to every musician who has performed at one of the 52,000 Encore gigs over the last decade.
Here’s to the next ten years of Encore!
