Introducing: Review sharing

We noticed that when musicians on Encore get good reviews they want to share them across social media.

It’s a natural reaction. First of all, you’re sharing good news – you performed well, the client had a great time – and everyone likes reading about when things go well (particularly in times like these!).

But most importantly, sharing reviews helps you get bookings. If you can build a reputation on your social channels by regularly posting glowing reviews, you’re much more likely to appear trustworthy and get booked.

So we’ve built a new tool that makes this as simple as possible. Just click on the new ‘Share’ button on your reviews to create a bespoke image and text message that you can quickly share on your social channels.

Benefits of the review sharer tool

  • Get more gigs: attract more clients by building your reputation as a trusted performer
  • High-quality content: Generates high-quality, personalised content for your social feeds
  • Stay active on social: Keep your social feed active while the pandemic is limiting gig opportunities

How it works

  1. Head to the reviews section on your profile
  2. Click on the ‘Share’ button next to any verified external review or Encore gig review with 4 or 5 stars
  3. Download your bespoke review image
  4. Share your review on Facebook or Twitter clicking the share buttons and then uploading the image
  5. Share on Instagram by uploading the image and pasting the review text using the ‘Copy to clipboard’ tool

Recommended posting strategy

The ideal time to share a review is when you first receive it. But given that gigs are less frequent for most musicians at the moment, it might be a while before your next review comes in.

In the meantime, we’d recommend scheduling a few posts of your recent reviews. For example, you could pick out your 5 most recent reviews and schedule them to be posted at week intervals over the next month. (Not sure how to schedule social media posts? We recommend using the tool Buffer.)

Posting on social helps keep you top of mind for potential customers, so once things begin to return to normal, you’ll be the first artist they think of when they’re booking live music for an event.

Tip: Don’t have any Encore gig reviews yet? No problem, you can also share your external reviews you’ve added to your Encore profile (if they have been verified).

We really hope you find the new review sharing tool useful! We’re always looking for ways we can improve Encore for our musicians – so please let us know if you have any feedback by emailing [email protected] .
