The inspiration behind The Wood Vibrations was to create a cover band with a signature sound. Combining our unique instrumentation with our voices and creative choices, we’ve forged a dynamic blend of musical intimacy and drama. The result is a style and energy that makes a distinct statement at our events and performances. With a repertoire of songs that ranges from atmospheric to floor stomping dance anthems from the last 80 years, there is music for everyone to enjoy. Our instrumentation allows for increased volume control and we offer different band configurations to fit into any situation. Exceeding expectations is what we strive to do. The Wood Vibrations cover a wide range of songs and genres including rock, pop, country, oldies, dance, disco, Top 40, folk, jazz, and classical. For weddings we offer 4, 5, and 8 piece band options. We also offer duo and solo configurations for smaller weddings. Every booking includes personalized planning sessions, MC services, insurance, song requests, full sound systems, music during breaks, wireless mic for officiant/speeches, and band lighting. We also offer ceremony music (guitar and violin), cocktail hour music, and DJ devices. Band Configurations: 1. NEW - Premier Package - 8 Pieces (guitar, 2 violins, cello, bass, drums, saxophone, with 6 singers) - sound engineer included with this Package. 2. Large Band - 5 pieces (guitar, violin, bass, drums, with 5 singers) 3. Core Band - 4 pieces (guitar, violin, bass, drums, with 4 singers) 4. Small Band - 3 pieces (guitar, bass, drums, with 3 singers) 5. The WV Duo - 2 pieces (guitar, violin with 2 singers) 6. We could not have made a better choice for our wedding ceremony and reception than picking the Wood Vibrations to play for the night. From the moment they started playing, the dance floor was completely packed—and it stayed that way all night. There was never a lull in the energy, and because of that, the dance floor never emptied. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the band was and saying it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to. The Wood Vibrations did an amazing job performing during our ceremony and reception. They brought great energy to the reception, played a broad range of songs, and were collaborative and easy to work with throughout the whole planning process. They even helped us to figure out what portion of our chosen song to use for our first dance. Above all, they sounded fantastic and did a great job of choosing songs and reading the room to keep everyone upbeat and on the dance floor.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love our original sound and instrumentation, song selection, and over all flow of our set.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have played events at hundreds of Venue around the Northeast and beyond. Some of our favorites have included Cipriani in NYC, The Culinary Institute of America, The Edison Ballroom in NYC, and Hard Rock Cafe AC.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

In most cases you will get the band that appears in our promo videos. On occasion we have member that are unavailable on certain dates and we have subs for each position.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free.

How much time do you need to set up?

It usually takes the band about 60 to 90 minutes to set up and soundcheck.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We offer an expanded lighting package as well.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, we will learn sons for an event. For weddings we usually limit it to 3 for ceremony and 5 for reception. Not all songs will translate to a liver performance of course. If this is the case we can always run the track.
