I went to see Bad Cat at the Green Room in Placerville. I have to say I was absolutely blown away by the power and professionalism of this fine group. I will be following them wherever they play from this night forward.

I’m Jason Haxton of Jason Haxton Productions (JHP) and the Sacramento Sound Coalition. I met them only a few short months ago, but they are now tied for my favorite live bands to engineer. Their talent reaches back to the ‘70s, yet their energy is undiminished. The horn section is on point. The dual lead guitars are flawless and compelling. Their rhythm section is inspiring, as are the vocals (no autotune required), and the keyboardist, who played in Pablo Cruise, knows exactly what he’s doing.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our classic rock band includes two guitars, keyboards, drums, bass, a percussionist and four horn players. Five of us sings as well. Our jazz/funk band includes one lead singer, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and four horn players. Four of the other musicians sing as well. Our classical groups are variable. From 4 strings to 10 winds or a soloist and piano

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are generally flexible but there may be some additional commensurate charges.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. Typically this would be a relatively small charge - perhaps $100 unless the DJ is expected to also serve as a master of ceremonies.

How much time do you need to set up?

One to three hours - depending on the format. The classic rock band typically needs 2-3 hours

Can you roam around while you perform?

Typically not

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

To some extent.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes

Can you learn song requests before the event?

With adequate lead time, yes, but this may involve an additional fee.
