Hello, I’m really happy to be joining the Encore team!

Having been a heavy Encore user from the musician side for several years I feel like I already know a lot about the company, and I can’t wait to get to know the team better.

Working with them the last few weeks has been sort of like going into your next-door neighbour’s house. You know where everything is, but it all feels slightly different somehow!

I initially got into music listening to rock. I’ve seen some incredible live shows from bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Foo Fighters, Queen (with Paul Rodgers), Muse, Stevie Wonder and tons more.

As a musician, I’ve spent the last eleven years since I graduated from the University of Chester doing all sorts of weird and wonderful work, and developing a love for a much broader spectrum of genres. I’ve spent time playing on ships and abroad, played residencies and weddings, recorded on tracks and taught both privately and in schools. At the moment I’m doing a lot of solo acoustic playing, particularly working on solo fingerstyle pieces (with a lot of inspiration from Joe Pass who you should definitely check out if you don’t know him!) and playing guitar in Senegalese jazz-fusion band ‘Ibou Tall and the Jazzmates.’

If I’m not playing music, I’m probably either asleep or swimming. Hopefully not at the same time.
