Meet Jordan

Jordan Olukanmi

Business Development Intern

Hey everybody!

I’m really happy and excited to be a part of the Encore family – full of passionate, creative and lovely people. I couldn’t wish for anything better.

My story begins with singing aged 2 years old. I grew up singing in choirs in my church and in school as well having a brief stint in the West End as part of the Whistle Down The Wind Production.

In July 2018 I completed my undergraduate degree in Music Led Community Practices at Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to complete my masters degree in Songwriting graduating in November 2020.

Although lockdown had been difficult it gave me an opportunity to fall in love with music – not just making it – but also finding other amazing talented people who I could then recommend to others. Now I’m here in Encore bringing that enthusiasm and zeal to help more amazing musicians and artists.

Outside of music, I like going to the gym, playing board and card games, listening to podcasts and hosting a radio station. I like to think of myself as a busy buffalo cause I never seem to slow down.

I’m looking forward to getting to know the whole team and am welcome to any music recommendations (any genre is welcome).

Jonny is Encore's Head of Artist Relations.

He's responsible for supporting and helping musicians on the platform and writes most of the musician-facing articles on the blog. He can usually be found singing in choirs, drumming in bands, or nodding meaningfully to particularly good chords in London's jazz bars.
