Hello there!
I am so excited to get started at Encore and help our fantastic and friendly team facilitate live music-making!
How I got here: I started playing flute and saxophone at school, performing in many of the incredible youth music groups in Luton where I grew up. I joined the town’s girls choir and soon discovered that singing was for me (getting to keep my lipstick on during the concert was a major gamechanger).
Skipping forward to July 2020, I completed my undergraduate in Vocal and Operatic Studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and took up a choral scholarship at Hereford Cathedral, where we sing everything from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary commissions. And now I am here in the Encore entourage, getting to know my amazing team members and relearning the inner workings of the bookings and performance industry from the inside, having been on the performance side for a while now.
Listening-wise, I will listen to anything. Really. Opera and choral music feature pretty heavily in my recent listening, but I was raised on a strict diet of Depeche Mode so they will always feature on my playlists! Outside of music, I taught myself how to crochet during the first lockdown and I love being creative in the kitchen.
I am looking forward to getting to know the team better (and meeting them in person!) and I am always on the lookout for new podcast recommendations.
