Billy Thompson Gypsy Style is a highly professional and experienced live outfit. There are two CDs by Billy Thompson Gypsy Style. One recorded live and one in the studio (The Eberle Sessions). The highly flexible members of the band lend this outfit to also be able to play at all manner of functions from Weddings to Book Launches. With Eryl Jones in the band there is the scope for some Americana, Bluegrass, Traditional Folk, Original Welsh songs and even some Tom Waits... The group can be anything from a jazz violin and guitar duo up to a six-piece show band.

Having looked around everywhere for a Gipsy Jazz band I came across a video of Billy playing on You Tube - it was great, and live he was better! We had Billy and the band to play at our party at Galeri Caernarfon after we came back from our wedding abroad. Fantastic performance, and Billy a star who got the crowd really into it all, and we were all dancing (or at least trying to). Billy himself was lovely and accomodating, and was happy to play to my nieces and nephews who had taken a shine to him and the music! Everybody got up to dance and the repertoire was brilliant. Made for a proper party feel. All in all when I saw people afterwards the general gist from everybody was 'great party - but I really loved the band'. So I guess the only problem is that they were everybody's highlight! ;-) Highly recommend Billy and the band to anybody having a party, or for any gig for that matter. Diolch yn fawr Billy - you made a great night even better!
