Carlos Vera, aka DJ Turmix, is a Barcelona native and iconic New York City DJ since 2008. With over 30 years in the scene, he specializes in nostalgic yet innovative sets that fuse balearic, disco and '80s High NRG synth-driven sounds—new wave, Italo disco, synth pop—with modern nu-disco, indie dance and electronica. His electrifying performances unearth rare vinyl gems (especially prized 45 RPM singles) and rework them for today's crowds, delivering an endless summer night energy perfect for dance floors, sunset sessions, private parties, corporate events, weddings and upscale venues. Featured in Dust & Grooves Vol. 2 and the 2014 documentary We Like It Like That, Turmix is also a radio veteran with his show Feel the Groove on Soho Radio London, championing underground electronic scenes globally.
