Singing guitarist
Indianapolis

Robby’s massive repertoire covers everything from Golden Oldies and Classic Rock to Country, Folk, and Jazz standards. Whether you are looking for 60s nostalgia, acoustic blues, or modern pop hits, he has something for everyone. His professional setup and high-quality P.A. system ensure a polished sound for any venue, while his willingness to take audience requests makes every performance personal and engaging. From corporate events to private celebrations throughout the Midwest, Robby Lake is the professional choice for top-notch live music. He brings the expertise needed to keep your guests entertained all night long, whether they want to sing along or simply enjoy some easy-listening instrumentals. About Robby Lake ; Singer-Songwriter-Musician : Robby spent most of his teenage years growing up on the streets. When he first left his parents house before the age of 14, he began to slowly see the world-from a hard knocks side of life. It was soon thereafter that he'd learned the craft of basic poetry skills. And then, while attending a boarding school, he picked up the guitar and began to teach himself to play from a Mel Bay book of chords. He took the first two chords he had learned to strum to, and, combined with a poem which he had written at the age of 13, wrote his first song , The tune "Blind Before I Fell" can still be heard from time to time at some of his shows. A connoisseur of musical styles , Robby loves funk , R&B and soul , though he prefers to perform older classic rock , folk as well as his own songs. He specializes in the stylings of Jack Johnson, James Taylor and Gordon Lightfoot. His musical depth and abilities go a lot farther however; with songs in his show honoring music artists from Madonna to Cris Stapleton.

Sincerely the best acoustic entertainer and one person music act I've ever hired. He performed 3 albums worth of his own compositions! Nice Dave Matthews covers.
