Alexander Marino

With over a decade of professional experience: commercial US festivals, tours, a steady presence in local jazz scenes, and his dedicated tenacity in the music retail industry, Alex has consistently shown that his adaptability in the name of musical diversity is not merely a useful tool at his disposal, but something that he fully embraces. As a working musician, Alex has held the position of saxophonist with reggae-rock band Kash'd Out, a position he has held since 2020. Through this role, he has been involved with several of the band’s recording projects (via Ineffable Records and LAW Records), some of which reaching national acclaim (#5 Apple Music US Reggae Album Charts, #1 iTunes US Reggae Album Charts, #10 iTunes Global Reggae Song Charts), as well as collaborations with artists such as Tropidelic, Katastro, and Yung Pinch. In his home state of FL, Alex maintained a consistent presence in the local jazz scenes, playing with bands such as COOS Jazz Vespers, Chief Cherry & His Beans and Rice, Crescendo Amelia, Maitland Stage Band, Swingin' Monitos, and the Sanford Jazz Ensemble, while also working with commercial bands/agencies and Houses of Worship such as Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos, Florida Man's Revenge, Graingertainment, Episcopal Church of Our Savior (Jacksonville) & First Baptist Orlando. In total, he has played the stages of national venues and festivals such as Reggae Rise Up (Florida and Vegas), Everwild Music Festival, Sugarshack Sessions, Dr. Phillips Center, Epcot's America Gardens Theater, House of Blues Orlando, and Jannus Live, and has played on festival bills and/or support/coheadline tours for Michael W. Smith, Stephen Marley, Julian Marley, Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Dirty Heads, Pepper, The Elovaters, Collie Buddz, Bumpin' Uglies, and Badfish (most of which with Kash’d Out). He has been privileged to share the stage with prominent musicians and composers, such as Dan Duncan, Tony Steve, Jack Petersen, Teddy Mulet, Philip Pan, Richard Drexler, and Bob Moore. In 2022, Alex accepted the role of Inside Sales Division Manager and ClariMate Sales Specialist for the prestigious woodwind and brass company, Buffet Crampon, further diversifying his professional portfolio, after a successful 3-year stint as store manager for Central FL music store staple, Music Shack (in affiliation with Veritas Instrument Rental). His current responsibilities include management of regional dealer accounts across 9 US states (Mid-South and Rocky Mountain regions), as well as managing ClariMate-related direct sales and dealer support in the US and Canada. He and has also assisted, co-managed exhibits, and/or presented for major conventions and industry leaders such as ICA Clarinet Fest, ITEC, Sweetwater, FMEA, and NAMM.
