"We were not an easy venue or group to play for I think. A marquee wedding with 140 chatty guests all keen to dance, combined with a small dance floor with a large pole right in the middle to boot. It could have been mayhem! But the caller and the band rose to the occasion with clear instructions, a lot of patience and wonderful versions of Scottish ceilidh classics. The band arrived on time but the time table for the wedding slipped, and the ceilidh started later than planned. Again, the band took it well. The wedding guests loved the ceilidh and threw themselves on the dance floor with abandon. We had a great time! Thank you Paul!"

Your celtic folk band will usually arrive about an hour or so before their performance begins to set up and get settled before they start playing. To avoid any delays, make sure the performance space is ready for the celtic folk band prior to their arrival.
My venue has asked for the performer’s PLI & PAT inspection certificates. What are these?
PLI stands for Public Liability Insurance. This insurance covers damage to another person or their property (it is also known as third party insurance). As many of our celtic folk bands are members of the Musician's Union, they are already covered by PLI up to £10 million. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Most of our celtic folk bands will already have a PAT inspection certificate for their musical equipment/PA system, which they can provide to your venue if they need it.
