Triplica + is an innovative string quartet based in London, playing their own arrangements of jazz songs, and beyond.
Drawing influence from the Turtle Island String Quartet and Atom String Quartet, Triplica + is a contemporary string quartet based in London who focus on playing their own unique string arrangements of jazz standards with improvisation as well as their own compositions. The members met, and still work under the Tomorrow's Warriors StringTing & JazzStrings programmes. They have performed as a quartet in various venues including the the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, The Cockpit Theatre & Ray's Jazz Club, to name a few, as well as having been featured in festivals such as EFG London Jazz Festival and the Woman of the World Festival. Members have also worked played alongside artists such as Steve Williamson, Brinsley Ford & Gary Crosby OBE, as well as been a supporting act for Denys Baptiste. They have received masterclasses from Yilian Canizares, Omar Puente & Peter Edwards, and have run jazz workshops for string musicians around London including at the Southbank Centre as part of the Yehudi Menuhin Centenary Week. Can take bookings as string duo/trio/quartet.
