Siegfried Camerata

“Definitely one orchestra to watch for!” The Greenwich Visitor The Siegfried Camerata is a young professional orchestra based in London. Its members are some of the most talented performers in the UK. The Camerata's debut in January 2014 at Blackheath Halls, London, performing works by Mozart and Wagner, was highly praised by the local press. Since then the orchestra has performed in other renowned venues such as St James's Piccadilly, Blackheath Halls and St Martin-in-the-Fields. Recent highlights of the orchestra's concert activity include collaborations with the Iberian and Latin American Music Society, and the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe in the BPSE International Competition for young pianists on the Beethoven Piano Concertos, the Siegfried Camerata was the orchestra selected to accompany the participants. What makes this orchestra stand out is that everyone in the Camerata is a soloist, sharing the same enthusiasm and sense of commitment as good chamber music ensembles do, willing to work hard rehearsing together until a good result is achieved.
