Formed in 2015, the Palmer Ensemble is an innovative classical music group based in Reading, Berkshire.

Formed in 2015, the Palmer Ensemble is an innovative classical music group based in Reading, Berkshire. Comprising of a core body of five young professional musicians the group performs music by both emerging and well-loved composers to audiences in and around the Thames Valley. Members of the Palmer Ensemble studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, The Royal Academy of Music, Birmingham Conservatoire and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. The group all now reside within the Thames Valley working as professional musicians and educators in the area. Forthcoming concerts include performances at Old Bluecoat School in Thatcham, South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell and a series of 'Kid's concerts' in Goring in Autumn of 2015. Keen to develop a fresh and innovative educational programme. The Palmer Ensemble boasts two fully qualified teachers, covering both secondary and primary stages. Current and previous teaching positions held by members of the group include institutions such as the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine, The Guildhall School of Music and Drama Junior department Department, and local independant schools including Holme Grange Preparatory School, The Abbey and Horris Hill School.
