About Kingston Brass

Function band
New Malden
Public liability insurance of £10 million
Versatile function band exploding with brass, performing popular songs from past to present!

Kingston Brass is an exciting and brassy function band, offering a variety of musical styles. We play popular songs from past to present, strongly encouraging dancing and singing from the audience! It is an energetic and uplifting 9-piece ensemble, guaranteed to make your event very special. Be it Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley or Bruno Mars, we have something for everyone! If we are playing for your event and you have any songs in mind... let us know! We welcome song requests in advance. Created in 2015 as a brass Dectet, the group broke free of its classical restraints and got completely funked up... introducing saxophones and drum kit. December 2017 saw the release of the group's first EP "Let It Snow!". All money raised went to the Alzheimer's Society, which is a fantastic charity. We performed some songs from the EP at the opening of that year's Wimbledon "Winter Wonderland", celebrating the lead up to Christmas. The theme of our set list that day was Christmas Hits from over the decades... which included the 2009 unlikely Christmas No.1 "Killin' In The Name" by Rage Against the Machine. In December of 2017, the group's creator Alexander Leach arranged and recorded the group's first EP, called "Let It Snow!". The EP was sold online at Bandcamp and ALL money raised went to the Alzheimer's Society, which is a fantastic charity. The group performed some songs from the EP at the opening of the 2017 Wimbledon "Winter Wonderland", celebrating the lead up to Christmas. The theme of our set list that day was Christmas Hits from over the decades... which included the 2009 unlikely Christmas No.1 "Killin' In The Name" by Rage Against the Machine. Besides our popular line up as a 9-piece function band, Kingston Brass also performs in a variety of different ensemble formations. Our classical ensembles include a traditional brass dectet (10 players) and quintet (5 players). We also provide brass fanfares as well as trumpet players for works with organ, ideal for ceremonies.

Reviews

From customers:

I was really impressed by the playing the other evening, not only from a technical point of view, but also the sheer musicianship.

How lucky we are that there are young musicians who care about and take the care to do such a good job in an age when mediocrity seems to be the norm
