Originally from Hampshire, England, Jago (b.1995) is a composer based around London and/or Rotterdam (Netherlands). Jago's music is experimental and most recently defined by an intense exploration of 'extended techniques' as a basic sonic material. He has completed works for a variety of ensembles and instruments and has notably worked with the Britten Sinfonia, BCMG and De Doelen Kwartet. Jago studied for his undergraduate degree in music at Cambridge University (Pembroke College), where he studied under Christian Mason and graduated in 2017 with an award-winning double-first. He maintains an academic interest in many musical matters. Jago is currently studying for a masters in composition at Codarts, Rotterdam under Robin de Raaff. Jago is also an active performer, especially as a choral singer and improvising pianist.
