Sarah Starkey is a professional solo vocalist who has been performing to and delighting audiences for several years. Her exciting and vibrant show, 'Forever Streisand' celebrates the much loved music of the legend that is Barbra Streisand. With the rare ability to be able to connect with her audiences, Sarah always evokes many wonderful emotions when performing, especially the iconic and powerful songs from the great lady. Sarah's public performing experience started at the age of 14 and she has many major performances behind her which includes singing at the Royal Gala Variety Performance at The Mermaid Theatre in London with HRH Prince Edward in attendance and singing solo at London's Earls Court. Such is her talent, Sarah was the resident singer at the beautiful Rowhill Grange Hotel in Dartford, Kent for over 3 years, performing for three hours every Saturday night. She has also performed in numerous hotels, theatres and restaurants across London and the Home Counties and in March 2019 was invited to Headline a major charity show singing Streisand songs for the Rotary Childrens Hospice Holidays at The Central Theatre in Chatham, Kent. Sarah now has her very own live band and is taking her Forever Streisand show to audiences far and wide.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes we can tailor our performances to the client as we offer an acoustic piano duo set as well as performing to mastered backing. We are adding backing vocals to our live band for an even richer Streisand experience!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Timings are usually not a problem as long as the date remains the same. We can be flexible to timings with enough notice. We had one wedding performance where the happy couple asked us to wait to perform until after the England World Cup semi final!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. We are happy to say that we would provide backing music to suit the audience before and during the sets, again, with notice please.

How much time do you need to set up?

A full band would need probably 45 minutes to an hour to set up which would include sound checks. An acoustic duo or solo performance to mastered backing would be less obviously and we would look to be ready to perform in half an hour of arrival.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Definitely. We have a wireless radio mic that allows the singer to walk between audience members or diners, which is always popular.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We would be more than happy to include any favourite Streisand songs upon request, as long as we have notice prior to the show so that we can ensure that the band know the song and are rehearsed! We had one client who specifically asked for "Sam, You Made The Pants Too Long" which we were delighted to include within our set and went down VERY well.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We can provide our own PA systems and kit although we do not have specific lighting at present as our shows are usually played at venues with their own lighting, but we can look into this should the hirer dictate this as a specification of booking. We would amend our quotation accordingly in agreement with the hirer of course.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely!

"Have been to see Sarah perform twice as Barbara, both times were just brilliant! At times the performance was quite emotional, and at others it was hard to stop myself from joining in. Would recommend a Streisand evening with food for a really good night out. Definitely five stars from me"
