Born in 1993, British-Syrian musician Fatima Lahham is a solo and collaborative recorder player, writer, and teacher. Recent performances have taken Fatima to Austria, Spain, and Germany, as well as venues in London including the Wigmore Hall, Buckingham Palace, the London Handel Festival, and St Paul’s Covent Garden. Fatima has studied the recorder since 2011 with Ashley Solomon and completed her studies in July 2016 as the recipient of many scholarships and awards, having been awarded a Music BA with First Class Hons from Oxford and her Masters degree with Distinction from the Royal College of Music, London. Fatima is currently Musician-in-Residence at East Oxford Primary School and Music Hub Trainee with Spitalfields Music, alongside cover teaching at Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Department, freelance lecturing at the Royal College of Music, and outreach projects at the Wigmore Hall.
