About Electric Cherries

The Electric Cherries are a 5 piece professional band filling dancefloors at functions, weddings and events in Inverness and the Highlands.

Whatever the event, we are on hand to tailor what we do to meet all your musical needs. From relaxed ambient background music, right through to dancefloor fillers for the evening party. Covering everything from 50s rock and roll through to current chart toppers, the Electric Cherries can do it all. Include some ceilidh music if you need, and you've got the perfect party. We like a challenge, and are on hand to learn new songs for a first dance, or specific events etc. The electric cherries pride ourselves on being high quality, with good musicianship. We don't use backing tracks, and play everything ourselves, including ceilidh music (no backing tracks). The band have all of our own sound and lighting systems, ready to go in a one stop shop.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We're up tempo and high energy, and the dancefloor is always full!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Drumossie Hotel Muir of Ord Highland Rugby Club Kingsmills Hotel Glentruim House Aswanely Etc etc - most of the Highland Venues

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Young Highlanders Awards - this was a fantastic charity event at Drumossie Hotel. Such a fantastic cause, heartbreaking and heartwarming all in one. They know how to party too!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, Jenna is our main vocalist and we generally don't gig unless she's there. The only exception might illness or things like that, in which case we have a network of high quality musicians who can step in. The performance would always be to our usual high standard.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is as follows: Jenna Ross - Lead Vocalist and diva Dave Rudge - Guitars and Vocals Martin Bell - Bass Alasdair Murden - Keyboard wizardry Colin Delmonte - Drums We can definitely offer a smaller group for afternoon entertainment, perhaps acoustic vibes etc.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're pretty flexible. Once you've booked us for the evening, we won't be playing any other gigs so if the timings move around a bit it's not an issue. Just keep in touch on the run up to the event, and on the day and we'll ensure our side goes smoothly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we can DJ no problem, or if you'd prefer to plug in a phone - that's fine. You can send us your half time playlist, whatever you need. It's your event and we want to help make it go smoothly.

How much time do you need to set up?

We need 1hr either side of the event, minimum.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our setlist is pretty flexible, and we're always keen to learn new songs - please don't hesitate to give us your song choices and we'll do our best!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. Full PA and Stage Lighting is included. We need a space 4x5m ideally, with plenty of sockets nearby.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, with a wee bit of time - we'll do our best!

Honestly cannot recommend this band enough ! They made our day the best! Our dance floor was always full and they taken to consideration our needs and nothing was any trouble to them.

Had the electric cherries playing at my birthday gathering and all I can say is wow! Absolutely fantastic and if you want a band that sounds great and know how to get a dance floor bouncing these guys are it! Would not hesitate to recommend and looking forward to having these guys again!
