1st prize winners of the 2013 ‘Royal Greenwich Intercollegiate String Quartet Competition’, the Bernadel Quartet were formed in 2009 at the Royal Academy of Music. Recent engagements have included performances at the Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Colston Hall and as part of West Cork Chamber Music Festival. In 2012, the Bernadels won a place on the Royal Academy of Music’s Davey Poznanski Quartet Scheme which entitled them to additional advanced tuition, access to a dedicated mentor, ensemble career guidance and high profile performance opportunities. Most recently, they have received coaching from Thomas Brandis, Eberhard Feltz and Christoph Richter and the Casals, Jupiter, Endellion, Doric, Wihan and London Haydn Quartets. Future engagements include recitals at St. James' Piccadilly, Senate House, St Peter’s Eaton Square and at various other UK venues. They also hold the position of quartet in residence at South West Music School. The Bernadel Quartet are currently Cavatina Chamber Music Fellows at the Royal Academy of Music and have been awarded a place on the newly founded ChamberStudio Mentorship 2013/14 programme. The Bernadel Quartet are very grateful for the generous sponsorship which supports both of these schemes, the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust and the Richard Carne Trust and also to Richard Ireland who has mentored and coached them throughout the year.
Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it.
