About Alicia

Professional Classical flautist based in London! Can play at a range of events from weddings to studio sessions and across genres.

First and foremost, I am a musician and flautist based in East London. In 2017, I completed 6 years of studying music as a specialist musician at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset. My greatest achievements in life so far have been gaining a place at one of the London Conservatoires, achieving my performance diploma with distinction at the age of 15 and winning the Two Moors Festival Young Musicians` Competition in 2016. I have now completed my Undergraduate course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, during which I was awarded a scholarship from the Royal Naval Greenwich Hospital Fund and am very proud to have won the Trinity Laban Flute Cup in 2019. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to have studied with a number of professional flautists which I have looked up to since early days, such as Susan Milan, Lisa Nelsen and Fiona Kelly. I have also attended masterclasses led by some of the best in the industry such as Sir James Galway, Mike Mower, Simon Channing, Kate Hill, Michael Cox and Emily Beynon. Lastly, I have performed in various venues such as The Royal Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), The Anvil (Basingstoke), Colston Hall, the Garrick Club, Powderham Castle, Blackheath Halls, Exeter Cathedral, Wells Cathedral and Alan Titchmarsh’s back garden. I absolutely adore performing and collaborating with people to record music. I am a great sight-reader, can pick up new repertoire quickly and can perform to a high standard with short notice. I'll look forward to either working with you, providing you with a lovely soundtrack to your event, or helping out with any kind of flute business you may need!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can also provide a DJ service myself as a professional DJ. Please provide an example playlist, decks (mixer and CDJs or console) and a PA.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 30 minutes before the performance time, but will need a space to warm up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course. If you have any favourite pieces you would like me or my duo to play, just let me know and I will see if I can find an arrangement that works for solo flute, flute and harp or flute and piano.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. Piano will need to be provided if needed.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a piece isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we can learn it or already know it. If there is a special piece you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.

Alicia played the flute part on my track and was a lovely additional to the band! She advised what would work best with the chords and the result was a lovely arpeggiated flute line on the song. Recommended musician!
