About Alexis

Alexis is the Senior Lay Clerk at Worcester Cathedral and was the first female lay clerk in the history of the choir. She regularly performs solos in services and in larger works including the Pie Jesu from Durufle's Requiem. Her freelance works sees her regularly singing for weddings and funerals around the West Midlands. She is a graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire where she studied viola with Sarah-Jane Bradley, Roger Chase and Richard Crabtree. Alongside her studies at Trinity Laban, she also had singing lessons with Helen Ludford-Thomas. She was Senior Choral Scholar in the Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir. Alexis served as a chorister at Worcester Cathedral for five years, and was awarded Head Chorister Decani in her final year. She was a Trinity College London Choral Scholar from September 2014 to 2017, when she was appointed Senior Choral Scholar. During her time in the choir, Alexis has performed regular solos in services and in larger works including Handel’s ‘Messiah’ and Bach’s ‘B Minor Mass’.
